"May Day has been celebrated internationally by working people for over a hundred years. It is the day we celebrate the victories of the past and look forward to the challenges and opportunities of the future. Salford is currently facing massive cuts in jobs and services and the impact of these cuts will be devastating for our city. We want to mark this year's May Day - this year being the 80th Anniversary of 'The Battle of Bexley Square' - with a rally to bring together Salfordians, to celebrate our city and our heritage and to stand resolutely against cuts to our jobs,
services and communities"
There will be speakers from many different local campaigns
